Virtual Quiz Night -
EVERY TUESDAY at 8pm
Dear Friends
Unfortunately, the events that the Social Committee had organised for this year have been postponed or cancelled due to the ongoing lockdown. When we are able to meet up again, we will resume to arrange some events that we can all enjoy.
We have organised an online quiz. It is being held every Tuesday evening at 8pm. You are invited to participate. This will be on Zoom and it would be helpful if you have downloaded the Zoom software first.
Could you please email me by 5pm on Tuesday so that I can inform Chris who to invite to the meeting -
Chris Gadd will send out a to link join the meeting. Please have paper and pencils or pens to write down your answers.
Joining in the quiz is free of charge.
We have all appreciated the services that Fr Colin and Fr Ray have given on line through Zoom and on You Tube and we would like the church to be able to continue its mission. The church has suffered from loss of income from the open plate collections taken at services and also loss of hiring out the church hall to outside organisations. We have also not been able to raise money from our social activities which also helped the church.
We do not wish to place undue pressure on those that are struggling financially at this time but if you feel able to make a donation to the Church please follow the links on the St Georges website:-

There is a choice to gift aid or not and the option to pay using your credit/debit card or your Pay Pal account. This money goes directly into the church’s bank account.
If you would like to be involved, to write or host a quiz evening or have any feedback, please get in touch. If anyone has any good ideas that we can during this time to encourage social interaction through social media or otherwise please let me know then we can discuss the possibility of this.
