Can you help 'Make a Mothers Day'

Whilst I know that it may seem to be early to be considering Mothering Sunday (22nd March), I would like to draw your attention to a means of making a mothers day, in addition to that of your own mother.

The MU works to improve the lives of mothers and carers and through them, families and communities.  They have provided a catalogue of virtual gifts, from which one can choose e.g. chalk and a blackboard [£6:00] for a MU Literacy Circle, where people who have never had the opportunity to go to school receive basic education and gain self respect, - to a bicycle [£100] for a Project Worker, enabling her to reach remote and virtually inaccessible communities.

When you donate a gift you will be sent a ‘Mothering Sunday’ card with details of the provision of the gift you chose.  You may request a card ‘In Memory of a special Mother’ which also comes with details of your chosen ‘In Memory’ gift.

All orders received by Friday 13th March 2009 will be posted in time to allow you to post your gift card to your chosen recipient.  The gift can be Gift Aided, which helps even more.

Catalogues are available from Margaret Symonds 9225 2338

You can order by post, phone or web www.makeamothersday.org

Please consider helping a mum facing tough circumstances to receive a Mothering Sunday gift.
