Church hall

St George’s is able to offer its hall for hire either for a one off event or for weekly/monthly use by commercial organisations, community organisations, charities and private individuals. The hall is licensed by Havant Borough Council for the playing and performing of music. However, if a hirer is proposing to sell alcohol, include it in a ticket price or give it away for a donation a Temporary Event Notice licence must be obtained from Havant Borough Council and a copy provided with the booking application.

Hire rates for 2025 are

• Organisations and private hire £22 per hour
• Registered charities £20 per hour
• Private hire by members of St George’s congregation £18 per hour
• For all hirers, use of kitchen is an additional £10

Bouncy Castles, Inflatables and Trampolines are not permitted in the hall.

Hall Facilities

The hall building consists of a large main hall, stage, committee room, toilets (including disabled) and a modern, well equipped kitchen.

The hall can accommodate up to 100 seated either in rows or at tables. To one end is a curtained stage with access from the front and sides. To one side of the hall are two large serving hatches giving access from the kitchen.

The kitchen is equipped with

• Eight ring gas cooker with double oven
• Hot trolley
• Fridge and freezer
• Commercial dishwasher
• Instant hot water boiler
• Electric kettles and urn
• Microwave
• Cutlery and crockery
• Three sinks
• Two large serving hatches to main hall

You have a firm booking only if it is showing on this calendar.
Where the calendar shows a booking to be “Provisional” please contact the Hall Bookings Secretary as to availability; we will check if the owner of the Provisional Booking wishes to firm it up or cancel it.
Note that times shown are the period for which the hall is booked and are not necessarily the starting time of the event.

Please note that we do not hire out the hall on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day or Easter Sunday.
