When I started singing in the choir back in the old days, little did I think I would continue for so long without interruption. Then Covid struck and did what no other catalyst had done ….stopped us singing in Church. What a disaster. It was amazing that our church managed to carry on with zoom services then with masked and isolated congregations in person. However, there was no singing. Now there is a light at the end of our dark tunnel and we, the choir, have started practising again ready to sing some parts of the service in May. I am sure that this will soon progress to having our hymns back for everyone to sing and I look forward to that day.
Below is a picture of me in the middle years(1984) with our two daughters, Carolyn and Kerry….so glad we managed to lose the choir caps!
(Received for publication in June, at last the day for singing has now come!)
