Summer lunchtime concerts

Thursday lunchtimes throughout August, a series of concerts of the finest quality were performed by leading local musicians.

Ensemble Concertante consisted of a clarinet quartet. The second concert featured Deb Vears (Soprano) with Lyndon Ford (Organ/Piano).

On 17th August the audience enjoyed the wonderful talent of Cathy Mathews performing on the Violin. She has played full time in various orchestras, including Bournemouth Sinfonietta, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Welsh National Opera, BBC Radio Orchestra and BBC Concert Orchestra to name a few. What a treat! Cathy was accompanied by Eunice Pike on Piano.

This was followed the following week with an Organ Recital by Peter Gould, who was Master of Music for 32 years at Derby Cathedral.

The Concert season concluded with Anemos - a wind and piano ensemble.
