Sunday School

At the time of writing, official Sunday school has today returned for the Autumn/Winter term. During the summer, we offered colouring, toys, games and simple crafts for any children / babies / toddlers attending.

Happy news! Did you know that Leo is a Big Brother now? Just before the end of the summer term, little baby Lloyd joined us. Welcome Lloyd!

Activities have included prayer spinners, a music themed bunting and a boat in a storm model in a plastic (for safety) jar.

In addition, the children very much enjoyed creating artificial floral displays to be arranged around a miniature maypole for inclusion in the Flower Festival. Our display made the front cover of Saint George’s News! Many thanks to Jess who put it all together.

It is appropriate to say a Big Congratulations to both Joy and Eleanor who have started school! How Exciting! Of course, we wish all children and young people in Church the very best as they start a new school or college year with all its challenges and new experiences.

So now we look forward to contributing to Harvest, Remembrance Sunday and, of course, our Christmas celebrations with our wonderful group of children.

The photo is of crosses that have been made by the Sunday School children.
