Tour of Derbyshire

Petersfield Area Churches Annual Coach Holiday is on Saturday 17th to Saturday 24th July, 2027.

The accommodation for the week is at the Aston Court Hotel, Derby, opposite the railway station, offering WiFi, restaurant, bar and lift. All bedrooms are en-sute with tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryer.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Travel to Derby arriving late afternoon at the hotel.

Day 2: Journey on Midland Railway. Shortly after arriving you will visit the Victorian Railwayman’s Church and hold a very short service. There will also be time to visit the Swanwick Junction Museum Complex followed by a scenic drive back to the hotel.

Day 3: Chatsworth House and gardens, afternoon visit to Bakewell.

Day 4: Scenic tour of the Peak District including mid-morning break at Chatsworth Farm Shop cafe or Castleton, then onto Buxton at lunchtime.

Day 5: Cromford Mill Tour and Cromford Canal boat cruise. Afternoon visit to Kedleston Hall (NT).

Day 6: Free day in Derby. One o-clock Cathedral service.

Day 7: Crich Tramway Village. After lunch visit to Carsington Reservoir Visitor Centre.

Day 8: After breakfast, commence homeward journey.

Price includes Coach Travel with Angela Holidays; 7 nights dinner, bed and breakfast; Entrance to Crich Tramway Museum, Cromford Mill Guided Tour and Canal Boat Cruise, Chatsworth House and Gardens, Return journey on Midland Railway. Visit to Kedleston Hall is not included for non-National Trust members.

Price per person: £904 (if there are 20 paying passengers) reducing to £756 if there are 30 paying passengers. 25 single rooms are available at a £140 supplement per room.
