Easter Processions

Leading up to Easter this year, there was the revival of the Ecumenical Walk of Witness, starting from the Baptist Church and ending at St George’s for refreshments with hot cross buns. It is hoped that this will now continue as a regular event on the Good Friday calendar in future years.

The Palm Sunday procession was led by two donkeys, Smarty and Chalky, starting as usual at The Heroes, and processing through the precinct to the Church.

Parish Lunch

At the Parish Lunch which followed the Annual Parochial Church meeting on Sunday 19th April we enjoyed jacket potatoes with a choice of fillings, coleslaw and salad followed by ice cream. A total of £533 was raised for Church funds.

Lent Lunches

These made £660, with £330 for Church funds and £330 donated to the Rowans Hospice.
